Greetings from Fountain Hills Theater!
Since 1987, I have had the pleasure and privilege to follow my passion for live theater and lead a dedicated group of volunteers toward our common goal: to build what has become the busiest and most honored community theater in the state of Arizona.
Once an organization that began with two or three productions per year held in an elementary school cafeteria, Fountain Hills Theater (FHT) has become a major player in the Arizona art scene. I am proud to say that we now produce over a dozen productions annually, divided between two full time stages, and have received numerous awards for creative excellence.
Our popular programs focus on issues affecting both adults and youth of our community. Our thriving theater sponsors several after school performing arts education programs, summer camps, special events, adult theater trips to New York City and London, outreach productions, scholarship opportunities, volunteer support groups and a motivated and professional office staff.
The annual budget has steadily increased and our ability to remain debt-free is a tribute to our supporters as well as to responsible financial management. FHT’s growth has been gradual and well planned, with each new program initiated only at the most practical and prudent time.
Knowing our commitment to quality, our patrons, volunteers, students, actors, and technicians are proud participants in our vision. Our welcoming philosophy allows our friends to feel at home under our roof. Together with our Board of Directors, FHT will continue to set goals, keep the vision fresh and grow strong.
As we enter our second quarter century, I wish to thank you for your interest in FHT and your recognition of the performing arts as a major key to enhancing all of our lives.
See you at the theater!
