Fountain Hills Theater‘s Broadway in the Hills gala celebration is being held on Saturday, March 29th at the Fountain Hills Community Center. This evening of fun, features live entertainment by favorite FHT players, a reception, delicious dining, and both live and silent auctions hosted by a local celebrity. The stage show will include numbers from the past season and numbers from the upcoming 2014-15 Season. Be the very first to hear the 28th Season line-ups for our Mainstage, Mainstage Too and Youth Theaters! Auction items include golf, spa and travel packages, exciting experiences such as balloon rides, jeep tours and wine and cheese tasting, designer jewelry, artwork, restaurant, wine and beauty baskets – and more! Come out for a fun evening, while helping to support your local community theater. Funds from this event help support the Mainstage and Youth Theaters, as well as the year-round after-school and summer performing arts and outreach programs for youth. This is the only major fundraiser of the year and the support of our community is vital to its success!

San Diego horse racing takes place where the “turf meets the surf” at Del Mar, one of the most popular Thoroughbred horse racing tracks in the world. Fans flock to the track each summer to wager on their favorite horses during the annual Del Mar Thoroughbred Club racing season. Be part of the magic and nostalgia of this long-time horse race tradition dating back to 1937 when Del Mar track founder Bing Crosby greeted the first guests, and in 1938, the great legendary horse, Seabiscuit, won by a nose in an epic race against Ligaroti.

The 75th annual racing season opens on July 17 and will run through September 3, and, for the first time, will add a Fall Meet, November 7-30, 2014.

The Del Mar Race Track is “just a chip shot from the Pacific Ocean”, located on the Del Mar Fairgrounds, 20 miles north of San Diego and 100 miles south of Los Angeles.

Del Mar Thoroughbred Club

Rub elbows with owners and horsemen in Del Mar’s legendary paddock, and watch a race from the Winners’ Circle. You will also have reserved seats in the premium “members only” Turf Club (food and beverage costs not included). This package includes up to two additional guests (four people total) in the Winners’ Circle and Turf Club. Enjoy complimentary valet parking for one vehicle.
