Erma Bombeck: At Wit’s End is full of the wit and wisdom of the woman herself; written by journalist/sister duo Allison and Margaret Engel, the play allows Erma (Cathy Dresbach) to tell her own story, leading the audience through her years as a mother and housewife who lampooned life in the suburbs in her weekly (then tri-weekly, then heavily syndicated) newspaper column called “At Wit’s End.”

Buddy — The Buddy Holly Story

Buddy – The Buddy Holly Story tells the true story of Buddy’s meteoric rise to fame, from the moment in 1957 when ‘That’ll Be The Day’ hit the airwaves until his tragic death less than two years later on “The Day The Music Died”. The show features over 20 of Buddy Holly’s greatest hits including ‘That’ll Be The Day’, ‘Peggy Sue’, ‘Everyday’, ‘Oh Boy’, ‘Not Fade Away’, ‘Rave On’ And ‘Raining In My Heart’, plus Ritchie Valens’ ‘La Bamba’ and the big bopper’s ‘Chantilly Lace’. The incredible legacy of the young man with glasses, whose musical career spanned an all-too-brief period during the golden days of rock & roll, continues to live on in Buddy. A special production directed by FHT alumnus Peyton Jordan, with musical direction by FHT alumnus Haylee Klein! It’s Princess Aurora’s sixteenth birthday, and three fairies – Flora, Fauna and Merryweather – must use their magic to save her from the spell of the evil sorceress, Maleficent! The fairies ensure that Aurora only falls into a deep sleep that can be ended with a kiss from her betrothed, Prince Phillip. To prevent Phillip from rescuing Aurora, Maleficent kidnaps and imprisons him. The good fairies are the last hope to free Phillip so that he can awaken Aurora.
